you might be happy to know then that abc and cbs (or was it nbc?) were both taking an interesting in picking AD when fox releases it. that'd be better than showtime b/c showtime blows and never has anything good on. i'm about to cancel it (i had it free for 3 months).
!!!
when did this happen ??
Arrested Development got cancelled for sure? And now cable interest? AWESOME.
Julie, I think Arrested Development could be a huge draw for struggling Showtime. and the freedom for the writers to be as raunchy and politically incorrect as possible will be amazing.
See, network TV right now is all about the "status quo." not pissing off advertisers and the corporate consumers that make up the population of this country. arrested development is the complete opposite of all that baloney and that's why it never belonged in network TV.
oh i agree that showtime might be a better venue, elad. i meant that you shouldn't get so excited b/c now you'll have to get showtime and the channels leave much to be desired. they have 2 decent shows -- weeds and sleeper cell, but they're not enough to make me want to pay $14.95 a month when i can get hbo and watch better movies.
