Who Are "They?"

Heroes - Season 1, Episode 12

Finally Heroes came back last night and although the episode wasn't action packed we still got reacquainted with the good old Heroes and got to meet a new one who is invisible!

The Episode was called "Godsend" because the symbol on the sword Hiro was looking for means "great talent...godsend"

I can't do a full recap - just too much happened - but let's talk about some big stuff....

First - The Explosion!

Peter is in the hospital and nobody knows what is wrong with him. We see his dreams show him exploding while all the other heroes are in NYC.

When Peter awakes he runs out of the hospital to try and go to the desert (so he won't explode in NYC?) and he meets the new Hero named Claude. His power is invisibility.

Second - The Sword

Hiro says he needs this ancient sword in order for his powers to be stronger. He goes to the Natural Museum of History and uses his powers to get the sword, but it turns out to be a replica. Turns out Linderman has the sword.

Now what is up with Linderman? We are always hearing his name. I have a feeling he is a key player in a lot of this.

Third - Insanity Defense

DL hands over the suitcase of money and is told all criminal charges have been dropped - but Linderman (the man who the money belonged to) may call on him to repay his debt in the future.

Meanwhile Niki is in prison and is having trouble getting along with the guards. Her attorney tells her they are seeking the death penalty and suddenly she goes mental. Insanity defense? Nothing better to solve insanity than a padded room!

Fourth - Claire's Dad

Seriously what is up with him? We see him talking to an employee of this secret organization and they talk about the tests on Sylar and how he might die from them. But "they" haven't authorized him to die. WHO ARE THEY? There is some bigger thing here that is going to be revealed.

Mr. Bennet is the head of a paper company and with his trust Haitain he is almost untouchable. He has managed to have memories erased, block powers and abduct people. Why is he doing this? Is he in with Linderman? Why did he adopt Claire?

Meanwhile...

Ted Sprague is working on his explosive ability, Claire tries to get her friend to remember while she copes with her own identiy crisis, Matt and Audrey raid Primatech (the paper company) to come up empty handed, Claire's dad visits Mohinder Suresh to get the "list" and a bunch of heroes come together at Issac's art studio.

So why do the heroe on the list keep on dying? Will Mr. Bennet's true intentions be revealed? Will we meet Linderman - who is not a Mr or a Mrs or has a first name? Will Peter explode? How will it happen? What is Michah's (Niki's son) power?
