Medical Future
The American Medical Association is proposing a new plan, which is backed by many doctors, to inject a tiny implant which will store a person's medical history. The implant is the size of a grain of rice and emits a radio frequency. This article says that companies like Walmart use this technology in their shipping systems.
So what are your thoughts? Is this going too far? Part of me thinks this would be a good thing for people with severe illnesses because if something happened to them the Doctor wouldn't have to guess their history. But then I also think that this is crossing the privacy boundary because it might be too easy to read the radio frequency or alter the information. It would have to be a highly regulated practice.
