Oh, I love Giant Squid stories...

And, luckily, there was one today on Yahoo, a story about the widest yet Giant Squid washed up on the shore in Tasmania, Australia. These "once believed to be mythical creatures" are showing up more and more these days, washed up on shores or in the first live video of the creature ever taken in 2006 (a still from the video above).

I'm not entirely sure why I'm so fascinated by these guys, but it might have something to do with this, from the Museum of Natural History in Manhattan:
