Crazy Eddie - If you grew up in the Northeast you knew that Crazy Eddie's prices were INSANE!You would also know that Eddie's Accounting was INSANE - he was convicted of selling used equipment as new, committing insurance fraud, faking inventory and skimming the accounting books to avoid taxes.
Finally, if you are Israeli you would know that Crazy Eddie was a Crazy Israeli who fled back to Israel (under the name David Cohen) to escape his conviction. He was finally caught and sent back to the US, put in jail and forced to pay over $150 million in fines (and still owes billions more).

what a great wiki! these commercials seemed to be on all the time and were like a contast background noise in the 80's and 90's. a little bit of the flavor of the NorthEast: extreme cold in winter, extreme heat in summer, extreme sales at Crazy Eddie's!!!
