Smartest Move In a Long Time

Who ever came up with the idea that cell phone use should be allowed on planes (in-flight) should seriously be trapped in a plane for three hours with 200 teenage girls talking on their cell phones about American Idol.

Luckily for all us sane and intelligent people, the FCC has decided to keep a ban on cell phone use while in-flight.

The FCC cited technical reasons for keeping the rule in place that bans cell phone use. The agency said that there is "insufficient technical information" available on whether airborne cell phone calls would jam networks below.

But I bet the many many many complaints received from travelers swayed their decision a bit. Many people got in contact with the FCC to tell them what a stupid idea it was. People shared stories about inane cell phone conversations and the need for quiet for the many hours we are on flights.

All I can say is THANK GOD!!!! Seriously this would have been so horrible. Imagine not only sitting next to a smelly guy who farts on one side but a teenage girl who talks non-stop on the other. There is no way that people wouldn't lose their minds.
