75% of 2005 = ?

So we are in October, which means we have fully completed 75% of 2005. What does that mean to you?

Have any goals/plans for that last 25%, or do you plan on just waiting it out for the new year?

When you look back on the year, does anything stand out?

Is it a year of firsts? A year of lasts? A year of the same?

Definitely a year of firsts for me. I got my first real job December 29th, 2004. And have been working ever since. It's a huge change, to go from lazy kid enjoying his fifth year of college to honest workingman getting up at 7 am everyday.

More grownup stuff abounds: first car, first apartment with girlfriend, etc, etc.

Some progress made on my writing, a couple sales (though nothing extraordinary yet). Trying to balance writing and working has been the hardest thing I've ever ever had to do.

Overall, a very good, calm, year. A couple bumps, but nothing big. Things continue to float on. Happiness comes in the form of a good night's sleep sometimes and I sleep very well these days.

The first 25% of this year was filled with fear over the bar exam. Once that was over, the next 25% was filled with excitement and joy over a new job, a new apartment, and a wonderful living situation. The third quarter has been summed up by frustration, hard work, anxiety, and facing the truth. I wonder what turn the last quarter will take.
