Desperate Housewives Question

So we all know this show is just out there already. Way too much stuff is going on that has gotten to the point of annoying. But I just have one question.

What happened to Bree's daughter? Suddenly last night she was back. But she wasn't at Bree's wedding and she wasn't in prior episodes this season. And then last night she talks about her boyfriend being shot in front of her. Did we ever see that happen? Someone please clue me in!!!
