Today - She Is The World's Oldest Person

Emma Faust Tillman, born to former slaves near Greensboro, North Carolina, on November 22, 1892 - is 114 years old!

This woman actually has 23 siblings - and 4 of them lived past the age 100!

"Her comment is always, 'If you want to know about longevity and why I lived so long, ask the man upstairs."'

According to her great nephew (named John Stewart, Jr.) she never smoked, drank or wore eyeglasses.

Hmmm, that is some claim. Did he know her during her rebellious years?

According to the International Committee on Supercentenarians, there are currently 86 people aged 110 or older alive in the world today. Eighty of them are women.
