Extreme Makeover Update
In addition to the Extreme Makeover Lawsuit where the makeover was cancelled last minute and the sister ended up killing herself because of guilt, another suit has been filed regarding Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (when they completely rebuild a home for a family by completely tearing down a home and rebuilding one from scratch - or something to that sort).
"Last month, five orphaned siblings who appeared on "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" also sued ABC, accusing the network of fraud and breach of contract. The siblings said the family that took them in after their parents died later drove them out of the nine-bedroom mansion that was built for them. ABC and the family have declined to comment on that lawsuit."
Oh...those ABC/Walt Disney lawyers are busy!

this case actually makes me really sad. from what i recall of the situation, these 2 white people adopted or served as foster parents to 5 african american kids ranging from like 5-17 or something like that. after abc built the "family" a new home, the 2 adults verbally abused the kids and tried to drive them away. apparently they just wanted to use the kids in order to themselves a free new house. im not sure what the kids' claim against abc is, but i'm assuming that they signed some sort of contract and now they're suing for breach b/c the didn't receive what they contracted for. my mind is blanking on what other claims they might have against abc. any ideas?
