Update: BarBri Class Action Lawsuit

Last year in May I posted some information about a lawsuit against BarBri filed by people who took the BarBri course and claimed BarBri entered into an agreement with Kaplan to get a monopoly over the Bar prep-classes.

A website is up which gives more information about the BarBri Class Action Litigation and includes select Court Documents and keeps you updated on the suit.

Word is out that the class action lawsuit against Bar-Bri was just settled for $49 million. If you took a Bar/Bri course between 1997 and 2006 and have not exempted yourself from the suit you are entitled to approx $125.

The settlement information isn't on the website yet, but I am sure soon enough it will be updated with information of how to collect your $125.

How can we know where to even ask for the $125. Please post an e-mail address, mailing address or phone number we can contact. The actual website is not useful in this regard.

JainK,

I actually have nothing to do with the barbri settlement, but if you look at the bottom of the website you will see contact information. I have actually contacted them by email in the past to confirm they received my claim, and they actually responded fairly quickly.

From the website:
BAR/BRI Class Action Administrator
PO Box 24639
West Palm Beach, FL 33416
BARBRI@completeclaimsolutions.com

If you would like to speak with the Administrator’s Office, please call toll-free:
