My Opinion: The Starter Wife
So Elad and I finally sat down to watch The Starter Wife (with Debra Messing) and on a scale from 1 to 10 I would give it a 6. It was good enough to make me want to watch it once more, but I cannot make any guarantees about the next episode.
So it was kind of light mostly because it is about Hollywood. Debra Messing plays a woman named Molly. Molly is dumped by her husband who is in the biz. After she is dumped the Hollywood community (including one of her best friends) turns their back on her because her husband is the one with the power in the industry.
Molly gets to shack up in one of her friend's beautiful ocean front homes from the summer where she meets a mystery man that we can't really figure out. At the same time it looks like there is another man interested in her (a man who holds more power in the industry than her ex) but then out of nowhere it seems like he kills himself.
And of course, her ex finds a new young star (Shoshana) who will likely break his heart and send him running back to Molly (is it that predictable?).
So, I will give the show another week and see what I think. Hopefully the story will get a little more interesting. But for now, the outfits are great, the homes are fabulous and Debra Messing is cute. That's enough to get me through a summer of TV.

6 is about right for a rating, it was a good show, but seems predictable.
