What Does Your World Look Like?

Perspective is everything.

People think, talk, act, and socialize depending on the reality surrounding them. From the stark right angles of the big city to the endless, flat, plains of suburbia, to the lush green of rural areas, reality is dictated by geography. It burrows into our brain and influences everything about us (whether we're aware of it or not.)

So, what does your reality look like?

That wasn't meant to sound sad - it is just Florida.

My world is bright. Too bright. There's sun everywhere. There's no tall buildings to block out the anger of the big yellow ball so it spills its fire onto everything. Even concrete looks yellow. Windows have a distressing way of shining in a sword of white, blinding, light.

But there is other colors, too. Blue and green and white puffy things that float in the sky and look like pastries. Horizon lines appear as far-away dreams, barely visible.

When there is wind, it feels cool and comforting against the destructive heat. When there is actual cold, it imbues everything and you more than happily don a sweater or a long shirt.

Nowdays, though, the heat is the most prominent fixture. Heavy and angry, it is everywhere outside - but, inside, in the miracolous AC-reality of comfort and joy, you can almost forget the temperature. Almost.
