What Would You Do If You Could Do Anything? 2

Classic dinner-party question:

What historical figures, living or dead, would you like at your table for dinner?

hmm, good question. tom cruise would definitely not be invited b/c i'd fear that he'd start jumping on my furniture or spouting diatribes against psychiatric medicine.

Not too surprisingly, I'd like to dine with primarily writers. The amazing authors, Aimee Bender and David Mitchell. The prolific and crazy director, Stanely Kubrick. Oh, and Shakespeare. Little round table. Maybe Thai food ?

i'd be afraid to invite any writers i admire b/c i'd be afraid to learn that they're painfully boring in real life. if it weren't for that, i'd invite charles dickens, rohinton mistry and milan kundera. nothing like a group of morose characters to make for an enjoyable dinner. i think i'd do fondue or tapas.
