California?

Here's a little known fact about California: Northern Californians do not get along with those from South California. There are expections, of course, but i would go so far as to say the states should be split, that way San Francisco can pass more progressive laws and in a couple years, we'll have a Mexican, openly gay, pothead as Governor of the new state. And who knows what could happen after that?
