Thoughts on Top Chef???
So what do you think of the finale? HUNG?!?!?! Although I didn't stand by my initial instinct throughout the season, I did guess he would win after seeing the first episode.
Anyway, please share your thoughts!

despite his arrogance and annoying attitude, he was definitely the most talented of the remaining chefs. from the beginning, i thought it would be tre or hung b/c they seemed the most gifted. although hung wasn't the nicest character on the show, i started liking him after one of the episodes when he gave an interview about how he's living the immigrant's dream. it made me realize that under his arrogant facade, he does work hard and appreciate how far he's come in life.
I knew he would win from the moment they showed that he was Wolverine...I mean Marcel's buddy.
I did not want him to win though. The editing made him seem like a jerk and his food had skill but not soul. Well, I guess I never tasted it, but I'd believe it.
Good for him for leaerning and working his way to this victory.

I felt like the finale had no suspense. It was quite obvious Hung would win after Casey messed up royally. I just felt that Dale was there on some fluke, and even though he managed to somehow make that extraordinary lamb dish, the rest of his dishes were not even comparable. I wish Casey would have been better competition for Hung like she was in episode's past.
I do agree that Hung should have won. Cockiness aside, I think he was the best chef and I did think he had a lot of passion along with technical skills. He totally touched me when he spoke about the immigrant dream that he was fulfilling. I also saw a big change of attitude from him towards the last episode, which made me think he took the judge's criticism to heart.
Well, Hung was definitely the favorite going through the whole season; the interesting stuff was watching others best him or lose to him.
I thought the entire season was great, every challenge was interesting, the chefs were truly inspired and I sat in awe watching them go through the ingredients on those final dishes. The settings were very good, too, from Miami to New York to Aspen, every location had a really incredible sense of place and I appreciated that journey.
As for Hung's victory, I felt he deserved it for his work throughout the entire season. he blew some challenges in the middle there and almost got booted once or twice, but he was almost always a winner and you could feel his enthusiasm for his food, cockyness aside.
Dale was robbed!
I really thought Hung deserved to win. And I didn't think he was so bad, except in that episode where he was really close to Casey with that knife.
