how do you feel about walking?
lets face it.
we take walking for granted. everyday we abuse our ability to walk. and then when we cant walk, we get distraught. or at least i did. i took a 25 foot fall climbing this weekend and bruised my right thigh so deep, you cant even see the bruise....yet. going up stairs is a chore. going down stairs is a chore. soon i will be able to walk again, but i will no longer take it for granted. each step will be much more thoughful than the previous.

dude. hope your leg heals quick and you can get back to what you love to do.
as for walking, i use to walk constantly when i lived in the city. nowadays, i miss it. everything is far away and it's hot (usually) for even a simple walk. i can feel my legs atrophying from lack of use. i plan to walk more from now on!
that just sounds so painful.
when i lived in NY i loved to walk. any weather. any time of day. it was a moment to myself to just hum a little tune and pay attention to the details around me.
but now the air is too thick to walk through. I can hardly breath because the humidity is so thick. i can't wait until the winter again.
i normally park as far as i can at the grocery store or walmart or target or whatever to get more "incenental" exercise.
