The Must See Blog Post of the Year!
Sony is going to pay 1.5 million dollars after being sued for citing fake movie critic quotes in the advertisements for movies such as "Vertical Limit," "A Knight's Tale," "The Animal," "Hollow Man" and "The Patriot." If you saw any of these movies you are eligible to get your 5 bucks back.
Do you think people who went to see A Knight's Tale were like "that critic was totally wrong about Heath Ledger being the hottest new star - let's get back our money!" Reminds me of the South Park episode when Stan and Kyle go hunt down Mel Gibson to get back the money they paid to see "The Passion."

hilarious.
would this be considered one of many frivilous lawsuits?
Unfortunetly I wasn't fooled into seeing a Knight's Tale -- but I do remember being drunk with Melody and Diana (so that can be a good excuse)
frivilous....hmmm...that's a good question. I guess to some extent it is frivilous but Sony paid out, some execs are on probation or something like that, and overall it is wrong to lie and use fake quotes.
now how do you go about proving that you were fooled by the critics? i mean i rarely watch a movie just because some critics say so -- i have eyes and ears and a mind that can connect the images and sounds. so why would i solely trust a critic when my mind tells me the movie is garbage? i guess it doesn't matter too much b/c i never saw those movies in the theater.
*small voice* i liked the patriot.
