Chocolate Emails

A few months ago my friend was very depressed after a break up - and a stop on our "get over it" shopping spree was at Godiva's chocolate store. At that time I indulged in great truffles and signed up for the mailing list.

Today I got my first email - and I have been invited to try the new chocolates at the Godiva store. So that means now all of you are invited to have a free taste, too! Go by the store (store locator) from Sept. 8 to 10 or Sept 22 to 24 - mention the ad for "Free samples of select Platinum pieces" - get free chocolate. Thank me later.

The real question is, which is better, Godiva or Ghardelli's ??

There's a Ghardelli's here in South Beach and Shawn and I have put it on our agenda of things to do. Apparently, they have ice cream and sundaes and all kinds of cool choclate-related things.

I had the Ghardelli's HQ in my backyard all the years I lived in San Francisco but I never actually went to the store ... I always just grabbed the free samples and fled!

Elad...if you had Godiva you would know the answer to this...

Ghardelli is gold but Godiva is like diamonds.

i tried to make brownies once using ghirardelli's. let's just that that what could have been a burgeoning love affair with another chocolate company began and ended with that recipe. it is not good chocolate. call me simple, but i'll take yummy ferrer rocher or lindt any day...nd so will my wallet
