George Bush hates black people

I haven't seen much coverage of the post-Hurricane Katrina ravaged area. Partly because I haven't had the tv on much recently and partly b/c whenever I do turn on the tv, the coverage seems to be showing only the degradation of society. I get really irritated and change the channel b/c the last thing I want to feel for these poor victims is scorn b/c they're resorting to violence and theft to make their way through this tragedy. (maybe it's just me, but that's how I feel the media's selective coverage is supposed to make us feel).

If you haven't seen Kanye West's speech during the telethon, it's something to see, so google it. I heard about it and thought he was just babbling about nonsense but I have to admit that I was moved when I saw it. I'm not saying that George Bush hates black people, b/c I don't know Dubya and I can't make that judgment. However, it can't be denied that the disaster relief leaves much to be desired. What do you think about the memo regarding FEMA's response to Katrina?

Oodles blogged last week about her impression of the disaster and the status of the area. I highly recommended checking it out. She also posted something interesting on her blog comparing India's efficient and effective response to the flooding in Bombay recently to the travesty of the Katrina efforts.

If blacks had money, Bush will love them.... sorry... at least will take more care. At least and unless they do not have more than he and his "real friends"
But maybe it is much simpler, just about money, power & interests...of course wrapped in the highest levels of step by step studied hipocresy among many other actual diceases. Who holds to these, is saved, who doesnt is ignored, inexistant and unconsidered to the point that it could dye and still to some, it will make sense.
The US has shown on and on what is important for them lately and voters put Bush on & on up front again and again. Up to now, still we havent seing any civilians demonstration besides the "typical american" celeb's shows which really makes it all loose its sense more and more. With those you never now if they are acting in a new movie they call... "Katrina, put yourself in the poor black skin.. for 1 hour"..."big smiles robots of vanity"... anything besides "simply natural".

Bush is just the head chosen by most americans and that shows that after all most americans like to think they hold the super power, that they are superior.
Who is surprised now?
Who is national enemy now?
Why such a strike vast area has lefted unsecured? Because danger is higher in a far away country? Maybe simply because the area is not economically interesting.

Take care of your own home, that in itself is already a heavy duty but obviously, if you consider home just a few millionaires, few petrolians, few celebrities, and the rest as "can-do-without", nothing much can be expected. Yes, to evade responsibilities now they have all this national and states local legislations so that... nobody finally takes any responsibility.
Is not about justice, is about doing things right or wrong.
Human beings need to turn back inside instead of searching outside, but that seems to be sooo boring!!! Constant bombarding of advertisement and wrong samples creates shallowness and then monsters in the world of "all is possible", while the simplest things in life have being lefted in second raw(being possitive).
Sorry to say but unfortunatelly the super power country in the world has rulers with total hidden souls so what is it there to be expected?? Who is really surprised!
I shaw on Tv from a survivor that this was "the modern genocide" and seems pretty agreeable.

I clearly remember after Sept.11th Bush on Tv was capable of saying: "Americans, we are good!"

at that very time I knew something was VERY wrong.

I hope the US will turn back inside and make the appropriate changes to make of it a shining country full of true souls.

I never thought a hurricane could become political but I guess I was wrong. The government's response to the tragedy has been disheartening and disgusting. Just like 9/11, the investigations will shed light not only the fumbling of the ball after the throw but the errors and lack of prepartion before. Bush's appointments of his "friends" to top FEMA positions is the first stepping point. The dismantling of infrastructure in this country so that more and more jobs can be outsourced is another.

What if Katrina had been a terrorist attack? What if someone blows the Hoover Dam and Las Vegas gets flooded? Are we prepared to handle it? Do we have the personnel and equipment to deal with tragedies, both human and natural? No. We don't. We never did.
